We can repair all Ten-Tec models. We are doing component level repair on older models and do not have replacement circuit boards. Although we can repair all older models, the repair cost can exceed the value of the product. Some products are not fully repairable because of the unavailability of components, these include:
444 Hercules Amplifier: final transistors and many other critical components and mechanical parts are no longer available. The 444 is generally not repairable.
535 Argonaut II and 536 Delta II: Backlight for display is no longer available, otherwise repairable.

Ten-Tec Service Department stocks a very comprehensive line of component level parts for our vintage transceivers. We can repair most transceivers that we have built in the past 41 years. However, there are individual transceivers that can no longer be economically repaired:
Ten-Tec Service will evaluate your vintage transceiver. If it appears that the repair cost will be excessive we will give you an estimate for the cost of repair before any repair is attempted. If you decide not to have the transceiver repaired there will be a charge for one hour of labor ($60.00) to cover the cost of the bench time necessary to evaluate the transceiver. We will then ship the un-repairable transceivers back to you at your expense.
If you want to repair your vintage transceiver, we will sell you the parts to accomplish the repair. Please send an Email to service@tentec.com with the Model number of the transceiver, a description of the part and the Ten-Tec part number if available.
Lightning damaged equipment will be evaluated for possible repair. An estimate will be prepared and you will be contacted with an estimated cost of repair or will be informed if the equipment is damaged beyond economical repair before any repair is attempted. If the equipment is not repaired, you will be charged a one hour ($60.00) bench fee for the evaluation and estimate. If the equipment is repaired the evaluation/estimate bench fee will be waived.
If the equipment is not repairable we can provide a letter for your insurance company to facilitate a lightning claim or fill out any lightning forms that your insurance company might require.
Much of the damage to equipment that has been struck by lightning might not be apparent in an initial evaluation. Problems caused by the lightning damage may not be apparent for days, weeks or months. Lightning damaged equipment can have ongoing problems caused by the lightning damage. We offer NO warranty on lightning damaged equipment. If lightning damaged equipment requires subsequent repairs you will be responsible for the repair costs and shipping.
We can dispose of any lightning damage equipment or return it to you. You will be responsible for return shipping charges.
