This radio replaces an Omni-D that I have used for several years; I have also owned a Yaesu 817 that I traded several years ago for the Omni-D. Owning a Ten-Tec created very high expectations for any new purchase, and the Eagle meets those high expectations.
The Eagle is large enough to be easy to use and small enough for portable work. I find the controls easy to use, with no frustration at mistakes or hard to find menu items. The receiver is very comfortable to use for many hours at a time even during crowded contests. The AGC and Noise Reducer are particularly important in creating that comfort.
Using this radio is a very pleasant experience.

I've had my Eagle almost a year and have really enjoyed its ease of use and outstanding performance. The best receive performance of any radio I've ever used.
At todays prices it is a true bargain.

I ordered another Eagle from the Summer Sale. I've had one for about 1.5 years and they are both terrific radios. Receive is second to none. It has all the features you need, is intuitive and easy to use. I have the 600 hz and 300 hz roofing filters in both radios and they are absolutely wonderful. I used my Eagle on DXPedition to St. Lucia in December, 2013 and it worked fantastic. With the Eagle's 100 watts and Buddipole antennas I personally made a little over 5,200 QSOs in a week, mostly CW, some SSB and some digital. It was a dream to use. And the receiver's dynamic blocking worked GREAT in the presence of other radios in the operation. From 160 to 10 meters (my experience with the Eagle) it is terrific buy.

I have had this radio for less than a week but I am very impressed with both its receiver and the good audio reports that I have received. The main reasons that I bought this transceiver was because it is simple to use and that it was made in the USA.

I kept hearing what a great receiver the Eagle has. I have owned the Icom 775DSP, Kenwood TS-830S, and the Ten Tec Paragon and Jupiter so I was looking forward to comparing. I am truly impressed; it probably has the best receiver of any radio I have used. And with the Summer Mega Sale it is without doubt the best bargain available. I would recommend the Eagle to anyone.

Just the best audio and the simplicity of operation for such a high performance radio is out of this world.
