Warranty Policy

Limited Warranty and Service Policy

New and Demo TEN-TEC equipment: TEN-TEC, Inc. warrants the product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase. Warranty only applies to the original owner. It is important that warranty registration card be sent to us promptly.

Model 238C Antenna Tuner is warranted for three years under the same terms above.

Models R4020, R4030 and R4040 QRP Transceivers: One-year replacement warranty. 

Non-TEN-TEC equipment sold by us: Warranties are administered by the individual manufacturing company. We do not service non-TEN-TEC equipment.

Used TEN-TEC equipment purchased directly from TEN-TEC is warranted for 30 days from date of purchase.

Equipment returned to the factory must be properly packaged, preferably in the original shipping carton(s). A Return Authorization Number is not required for warranty repair or service outside of warranty.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, lightning, excess voltages, polarity errors or damage resulting from modifications not recommended or approved by TEN-TEC. In the event of transportation damage, a claim must be filed with the carrier. Under no circumstances is TEN-TEC liable for consequential damages to persons or property caused by the use of this equipment.  

TEN-TEC reserves the right to make design changes without any obligation to modify equipment previously manufactured, or to notify owners of changes to existing equipment.

This warranty is given in lieu of any other warranty, expressed or implied.  

       How to get Help

FIRST, please read the manual thoroughly. Warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper operation. Developing a thorough understanding of this equipment is your responsibility.

If trouble develops we recommend you contact our customer service department direct at the factory by telephone or email BEFORE returning any equipment. TEN-TEC factory personnel can often assist in the most expeditious manner to minimize your down time. Many of our International Dealers also offer warranty assistance and they have our full support.

Service Department hours of operation are from 8AM to 5PM Eastern Time Monday - Friday.

Continental US customers : you pay inbound shipping to us for warranty repair. We pay shipping to return the repaired equipment to you by UPS ground service or equivalent.  

Alaska, Hawaii, Canadian customers: you pay shipping charges for warranty repair in both directions. It is critical that Canadian customers visit their local Customs office to prepare the proper customs documentation to permit export and re-import of repair equipment with minimum duties and fees. All duties and fees are the responsibility of the owner and will not be paid by TEN-TEC.

EU and other customers in Europe: warranty service can be provided in either of three ways at the discretion of TEN-TEC Service Manager. It is essential that you contact either the dealer from whom you purchased the equipment or TEN-TEC service department BEFORE shipping for warranty repair.

Method #1 - Many of our dealers provide warranty service and this is often the best solution.

Method #2 - We also have a Factory Authorized Service Center in the UK. TEN-TEC Service Manager must authorize all warranty repairs BEFORE shipping to the UK Service Center.
