Loading... Please wait...Model 238C now features a large cross-needle SWR and peak reading power output meter. Model 238C uses our tried and true “L” match design used in the earlier 238/238A/238B models with a new cosmetic design, larger heavy duty tuning capacitor than the original and backlit cross-needle SWR and peak power output metering. The 238 was rated the LOWEST INSERTION LOSS of any high power antenna tuner available by the ARRL Lab in their survey article comparing the Amateur Radio tuner market (QST 2/03).

I HAVE USED A NUMBER OF TUNERS OVER THE YEARS AND THE T-T 238-C/// AND I LIKE IT OVER THE OTHER BRANDS THE L-MATCH OUT PERFORMS THE T MATCH BY FAR AND IT WILL HANDLE 2KW WITH THE (ALPHAS} THE BIG MTR. IS HIGH QUALITY AND IT IS A PLEASURE TO TUNE AND I LIKE THE ANT. HOOK UP WITH FOUR SELECTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM THIS TUNER IS WORTH EVERY PENNY TO ME!

I have owned four kinds of "high power antenna tuners". This Ten Tec unit is the best. Very ruggedly built, easy to use, and tunes smoothly. A bit expensive but you will get a piece of gear that will probably outlive you.

I actually purchased the tuner for use with another brand radio. I was impressed with the quality and ease of operation of the 238C. As a matter of fact my son and I were so impressed, we bought a Jupiter a few months later. Our Jupiter has the auto tuner but I believe my son and I enjoy the manual tuner more and the auto tuner seldom is used. We look forward to years of service from our 238C.
