I bought both 300 / 500 hz filters...truly, while they perform excellently, I cannot tell the difference between the two. If I were to pick between the two, I'll keep the 300 though.

Straightforward install. Simple setup in single tree menu. Activates at 500 HZ BW & lower. Improvement over 500 Hz DSP filter. Adjacent signals disappear with no ringing. A worthwhile addition to an already great radio.

The filter arrived just a couple of days after I ordered it. Installing this in the Omni 7 was quite easy. Remove the cover without shearing the speaker wires, remove two cover screws over the filter box, pop the filter into its 3-hole mount socket, put it all back and fire it up. The filter makes a huge difference to copying CW, and it activates as soon as the BW adjustment is set below 500 Hz. The filter doesnt "ring" or introduce a hollow sound to the receiver. Makes copying CW in a crowded band easy with the Omni 7.
