Product Description
Centurion uses the classic pair of 3-500Z tubes. The RF deck and power supply are combined into a single, attractively styled, black desk top cabinet. The power output is rated at 1300 watts on SSB and CW and 650 watts using “key-down” modes. Drive required for full power SSB operation is 100 watts. The CENTURION operates on all bands (including WARC) from 1.8 to 21.5 MHz. 21.5 to 29.7 MHz is enabled with user installation of an expansion board, supplied at no charge upon proof of Amateur Radio License.

Economical to Buy; Economical to Maintain

I have used the Centurion now for almost 5 years in conjuction with an Orion II. Tuning stability and repeatability are outstanding. You can tune it up 30 seconds after hitting the "On" switch and hours later it is still resonant at the same frequency. I have used it in quite a number of 24 and 48 hour contests and it does fine ( I do use additional cooling ). There is 0.6 dB between 1300 W and 1500 W but ~ 4.25 dB difference in price replacing a pair of 3-500s compared to what most 1.5 KW amps' tubes cost. I was happy to put some additional money into heliax to make up the 0.6 dB.

Quality Design, Manufacture and Performance

I bought an used Centurion from TT about 5 years ago. Bullet proof. Mine runs about 2 hours a day, 7 days a week. i installed new tubes a couple of months after buying the amp and still running the same tubes.
No failures, breakdowns, etc.

I have owned the Centurion amp for many years without a moments problem. I run the amp on all bands and at near 100% output most of the time. This amp has never failed me. The workmanship in this amp is unsurpassed by any other. It is built like a tank.If your looking for an HF amp with the gusto, this is it!

Excellent Linear Amp - Very Easy to Use

The Centurion linear amplifier is extremely straight-forward and easy to use. Ten-Tec's product description is accurate and it is extremely sturdy and well made, practically indestructible and fool-proof.
I often receive excellent unsolicited audio reports when using this amplifier and my Ten-Tec Omni VII transceiver. It tunes up quickly and easily.
This product has met all expectations and I would recommend it to a friend.
