The TEN-TEC Model 777 DX PRO Headset Mic combines armchair comfort with superb audio to provide exceptional performance. The 777’s clean, light-weight design has an easy-to-adjust fit and can be worn over the ear for long periods without fatigue. Great for DXing, contesting, or everyday use! It has a unidirectional dynamic mic that isolates out ambient noise for excellent SSB audio, and has an adjustable boom with windscreen for outdoor use. TEN-TEC even offers adapter cables for most SSB transceivers. This great sounding stereo headset can also be used for panoramic cw and has an extra length coiled cord with a 1/4” plug.
Remember to view the related accessory cables for this headset if needed.

I bought these to work with my ts-440s and a corsair I. Very well made. Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. And I have gotten very good reports from the mic on these. I would recomend these to anyone looking for a good light weight headset.

I enjoyed my 777 headset on my Icom however, no Accessory cable for use with the Yaesu FT-897D. Don’t want to buy a Neil Pro-set but may need to do so if Ten-Tec does not come up with a cable.

First try with the mic on this headset, a gift from my wife. I made six DX contacts one after another and everyone of them said in various words that my audio was fine and even an excellent report. I have been using it for a couple of weeks as a headphone but just today switched from my usual HEIL mic to this boom mic. Monitor on my Orion 565 indicated it sounded good but the guys on the other side confirmed it. Super comfortable and works great too! It is also very well built which is a big plus in my book.

I purchased this headset primarily based on review in QST and cost. I also like the idea of purchasing American made and locally. As it is my first use of a headset I suggest more discriminating hams or expert users take my words with a grain of salt.
I have been using my Eagle since September. I have been able to work all States so far as well as 7 dx entities. No amp, a multiband antenna.
My first use of this headset allowed me to dig out seven weaker stations, that I would not have been able to QSL using my external speaker.
This is a excellent quality product at a fair price. Only complaint is the external hand switch is a little small, but it also is inexpensive.

This is a very comfortable headset and I get good audio reviews, from the mic, as well as clear crisp audio from the earphones. I wear "behind-the-ear" hearing aids and the cushioning of the earphones is very comfortable. I use a foot switch for PTT which the TenTec 8 pin cable connects to my OMNI VII very nicely. Lynn, W2MSJ

The Model 777 headset is lightweight and comfortable. The earphone receivers have nicely padded cushions, and sound good. The microphone is well suited for working with my Omni VII transceiver and always received excellent audio reports. The rather stiff, heavy duty microphone boom is the heaviest duty mic boom I have ever seen on a headset, and I know headsets, having been an independent headset product tester and review writer for commercial vendors in a similar application. Ten-Tec specified and selected a microphone capsule that is well suited for this application. The headset is light weight, but has study, heavy duty construction.
No headset is entirely comfortable all day long, but this is comfortable over long periods of use, and is suitable for contest long sessions. Heavy duty. single side cable is durable and stays out of the way when operating.
Excellent value, I would recommend this headset to a friend no matter what transceiver he uses.
