I purchased my Omni VI in June of 2012. I did not get the internal tuner. I decided to add the tuner, and found that the instructions were well written with color photos making it easy to install. The radio covers need to be removed, and a shield removed in remounted with the tuner. 2 mini coax connections and 1 6 pin cable are the conections to the radio. It tunes quickly and quietly,easy operation. It works well on all bands and is a good addition to a great radio
