For radio control and other CAT functions
Works with all TEN-TEC models other than the Eagle.
The cable addresses radio models that use a “straight thru” (not null-modem) serial to serial cable for connection to your computer.
Not for use with Apple Computers.

I ordered the cable without fully checking out the details. I use MacLogger DX on the iMac, and frustration has set in. Don't know if I'll get the rig to work with the computer or not. Shucks. I downloaded the recommended driver, but I'm not computer savvy, and this stuff basically makes no sense to me whatever. Perhaps if I were using a PC, this would be easy.

I had no problems with windows 7. The metal usb end sled back into the black housing so no contact was being made. Besides that can't beat the price, I bought two try it on my Pegasus next.

I had a "straight thru" DB9 to USB from Best Buys and it did not work. I have also had many RT Systems products and they have all performed as expected. This was no exception. With Windows 7 software loads first and then the cable plugs in to find the drivers you just loaded. Worked the first time as a product should.

Simple to install and setup. Drivers almost installed themselves using Windows 7. I selected comport #3 in the Software and the download to the Orion was flawless. I highly recommend this product.

I ordered the USB to serial converter to connect my Pegasus to a windows 8 computer. The installation was easy and the Pegasus works great.

The USB-64 317 cable that I recently purchased to work on my Pegasus Radio is not working. I am not computer savvy by any means and might have improperly down loaded the product. When I get it remedied and running, then I will be better able to say whether or not the product is any good.

Works with HRD v5 on my PC running Vista and the Jupiter radio.
